WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT LEFTIES

This post right timing was to be on the August 13 2018, due to unforeseen circumstances it was not posted by me as a result of too many engagement. I was unable to celebrate the left-handed people with this masterpiece post of mine.

To be late is better than never

People from my place do insult people most especially the female married folks as "Elese osi " I bet you, it will be good never to tell you the meaning. To avoid comments as a question from it. It means (someone who brings ill luck or misfortune). The emphasis is on the 'Osi ' meaning 'left'.

Over the years, I have discovered that the lefties are born with great talents academically, intellectual wise, good tech, both in craft and art and also with good leadership skills and charisma. Never you think am a leftie, am just an advocate of good things. Let quickly see the cons and prons faced by the left-handed people. What makes them special and unique.

Of a truth, lefties make up about 20 percent of the population, let me put this straight and clear. Most equipments, gadgets, musical instruments, game pads, cooking tools, car steering, etc mostly come out just to suit the right-hand people. Don't crucify me yet, read down 👇.

Can you sit and have a deep thinking about what the lefties go through just to use items designed for the right-handed individuals. Statistics has shown that 2,500 left-handers die yearly using products designed for the right-handed people e.g scissor, game pads, steering wheel, instrument etc.

Most Africa culture and traditions do not support or accept the lefties. They see them as mistakes and rejected ones in the society which brings stigmatization, rejection and low self esteem as a end result.

The word 'sinister' comes from a Latin word for the left-handed! The German
Sanskrist and Estonian word for "left " also mean "clumsy", "wicked ", "worse".

Using left hand to give or receive gifts as a young child from an elderly or aged person in africa society is term as disrespecting the elderly. Is there anything wrong using the left hand or born as a leftie? Let not see the left hand as inferior or not equal to our right hand. The stigmatization received by the lefties has to STOP let support them by accept them the way they are rather than trying to manipulate them by changing them.

Manufacturing, construction companies etc has to wake up and support the lefties by producing products that will be more suitable for them.

FACTS ABOUT THE LEFTIES

They are good Artist : Research has proven that most lefties are good in creativity. Evidence were proven that lefties have upper hands when it comes to creative facet. They are good in thinking, generating ideas that can easily bring about solutions

Good Leaders: A shocking and surprising thing about the lefties is that, they are good leaders. In terms of handedness, at course.

The four of the last seven commander in chief of the USA president are left-handed (Obama, Bill Clinton, George H. W Bush, and Gerald Ford are all left-handed and also great leaders.)
Have great I. Q: most men of renowned men and women who have written their names in gold are left-handed e.g Aristotle, Alexander The Great, Julius Caesar, Napoleon Bonaparte, Henry Ford, mivhelangelo, Leonard de Vinci, Charlie champ, Albert Einstein, Issac Newton, Neil Armstrong, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Willis etc
They are good in sport : golf legend Phil Mickelson, tennis ace Rafael Nadal, boxing champ Oscar de LA Hoya etc. Most super stars are also letf-handed.
Good actor /Actress : Back to the base were the stigmatization is alarming, great lefties actors and actresses have rise to stardom e.g funke Akindele, Emeka Ike, Segun Arinze, Desmond Elliot, Adesua etc.

Parents and teachers let help children who are left-handed build up their self esteem rather than bulling them in the society. The society needs them, because they are also parts of us.
