How Do I Promote Steem ? -Giving Back To The Community That Has Impacted In Us

Introduction

Once in a while ,it is necessary to share your feelings and ideas with people of similar interests and even diverse,to broaden one's knowledge span. A couple of months ago,I was introduced to Steemit by @michades97 .After looking through the home page,I was compelled by the mouthwatering amounts in "dollars"(SBD) to hit the sign up button.
Fast forward two months,I discovered that contrary to my initial thoughts ,raking in the figures required a lot more hard work,consistency,patience and of course,interaction and constant engagement on steemit :( .I was not to be deterred by this however as I soon started making new friends,learning new things and earning by blogging on this community .
Steemit has made me discover a whole new aspect of me,for example,I realised I was a better writer than I thought,I bolstered my graphics skills through engaging in various contents .More importantly,I learnt to embrace patience as a virtue .
Despite the numerous and invaluable impact of steem in the lives of many ,it is indeed surprising that Steemit only achieved a million users few weeks ago ,which is quite disappointing when compared to the time required of some other social interaction platforms to achieve the same landmark .
For a community which has bettered our lives and helped a lot (myself included) realise their potentials while earning ,I feel its our responsibility to do our bit in promoting Steem .

How Do I Promote Steem?
Without neglecting the fact that we may employ diverse means to achieve similar results ,I have been able to outline effective ways through which we can promote Steem to the world .As individuals,it is therefore left to us to choose which method best suits our taste ; main thing is ,as benefactors and contributors,we should consider it a duty to tell a friend to tell a friend to tell a friend !

• Organising Seminars/Summits :This is an effective way to reach out to various people ,especially the target demographic (crypto-inclined persons) enlightening them about Steem and it's futuristic potentials in crypo-space.I recently stumbled upon a post by my compatriot,@josediccus which best illustrates the importance and effectives in enlightening members of the public through this means .

• Social media platforms : The power of Social media as a tool in the promotion of virtually anything under the realms of this planet cannot be overemphasized ,Steem being no exception. Facebook,Twitter,Instagram and co have billions of active users all over the world ,which makes then suitable platforms to achieve desirable results.We can promote Steem by positing informative details on our personal social media accounts,through paid ads and promoted posts,and by discussing about it in related groups .

• Philanthropic/Socially Responsible Approach : This is my personally coined innovative step towards Steem promotion .For example ,Steem delegates could be mandated to carry out some philanthropic activities such as donation of books,pens,giving out steemit branded shirts,caps etc,awarding part scholarships in educational institutions within their environs ,the list is unending .This would go a long way in reaching out a large number of people whilst creating a long lasting positive impression.

• Verbal/Oral communication : Even though this method is only able to reach out to a fewer people,that makes it all the more efficacious .Without this method ,I wouldn't even know about Steem,talkless of recommending means of promotion! .Do your bit today,change a life by telling a friend :)

• Through mass/print media : Though overshadowed by the internet in recent times, Television ads,Radio ads, Newspaper articles and journals are still very useful media for promoting steem .

With the adoption of the above proposed media on a large scale,it is certain that Steem will gain the global recognition it deserves .
