RE: [Steemjet Weekly Report #1] - Delegatee stats
Well, I've never heard of steemocean. But I know of steemd. It gives your daily report, all what you do on your account.
I didn't even check mine to confirm if this is true or not. I checked another account because it was easier due to the lower number of upvotes he has given.
According to your report, @essiential gave a total of 5 votes during the week. Kindly head over to http://steemd.com/@essiential to confirm this.
Steemd.com gives you every thing he has been doing with the account. He gave far more than 5 votes in the past 4 days.
Definitely, steemocean statistics isn't plausible.
That aside, I'm not sure the number of posts on the steemjet tag is up to 160 during the week. Yet, you stated that a member made 140 votes? I'm sorry, I'm not agreeing to steemocean.
Again to reiterate this data is for APRIL 27 2018 to MAY 5 2018. Which is almost TWO WEEKS AGO.
I am aware of
steemd
but it is hard to MANUALLY checked there, but since you want me to double check essiential, then here goes:Essiential voted this posts:
essiential upvote @essiential/you-need-steempayout-com-for-an-easier… (58%) 7days ago 7 days ago
essiential upvote @dimimp/wow-if-you-thought-that-upvoting-helped-yo… (86%) 7 days ago
essiential upvote @shartzy/chanel-your-opportunities-towards-achievi… (22%) 8 days ago
essiential upvote @owaniofficial/happie-the-bird-entry-contest (38%) 8 days ago
essiential upvote @owaniofficial/steem-high-design-contest (59%) 8days ago
essiential upvote @sunscape/animalsunday-photography-by-sunscape 12days ago
A total of 6 posts. That's why I've said that the discrepancy lies on the time the snapshot was taken because if the snapshot was taken at the morning then the first one will not be taken in the data making it 5.
It is also worthy to note that only top-level posts are being included on the first column. Upvotes to replies are not so you might see less.
For that table, comments upvoted under the "steemjet" tag is included. Since ENTRIES and SUBMISSIONS are mostly in the form of comments, I think we should also include those, right?
Either way I respect your sentiment and doubt regarding the data being presented above. But whatever presented is coming from a third-party. But if you know of any EASY tool for doing these things, then feel free to tell me.
Well, It's nice you are doing this. I just took note of the date. I was backdating to 7 days ago initially.
For the steemjet aspects, you can edit and write "posts and comments involving steemjet" cos I was surprised a user has 140 vote given the fact that posts isn't even up to that.
I will like to know how you got the steemjet statistics though.
And I learnt steemreports.com also gives analysis. Atimes you can just compare with other tools to conclude.
You know everybody won't agree to this, and they will come with their proves too.
Good job. I know you put in lots of work to get this.
Hey thanks! And yeah, it's easy to miss the date on this one. :)
Also the reason why I chose to use
steemocean
instead of any other tools is that almost all the data I need is on their plus anyone could just look it up there everytime they have doubts about the numbers. I initially thought of using steemsql which most analysts here use but I know people will have doubts about where the numbers are coming from. It's nice to be transparent about everything. So that's why I chose steemocean. The numbers are also their, along with all the tags/categories you have voted for that week
Alright! Another thing you should put into consideration is worth of upvote.
Upoting 30 posts at 5% each isn't far fetched. A member upvoting fewer members with a higher voting power, what do we say about that?
Sometimes it's not about the number of upvotes you made but the impact of the upvotes.
Once again, good job.
I did take that into consideration. That is why I added TV_O = Total Value of upvotes to other people in SBD as I see some people upvoting only at 5-10% to other people but 100% on their own comments. XD
and TV_SJ = Total Value of upvotes to "steemjet" category (although this one might include self-votes too, so I still need to something for this)
Also for my analysis I take in two important things:
First, # of upvotes made and Second, total value of given votes.
And a little minor on self-voting and self-voting upvote worth in SBD.
Either way, thanks for all this. There is indeed a lot to take into consideration. :)
Your devotion is quite noteworthy. I have been partially incapacitated shortly as I'm having issues with my device. I hope to get back on track by next week fully.. Well done!
Issokay
Greetings! Steem Ocean uses data from a 1 week period which ends 1 week prior to the current date. This is so that all of the data is based on posts that have paid out and is the only way to get up to date information that is not subject to change. If I use data that is from the last 7 days, for example, the votes could change and so the post payout data is not accurate and will, at best, be a projection. By using data from 2 weeks ago, the data and payout levels are set in stone.
When I checked steemd for the user @essiential and counted back 7 days from today - then counted up the number of votes made in the previous 7 days, it came out at a total of 10 votes - which is the same figure that steemocean shows for him.
With regards the count of 140 votes for @empato365 - if you look at his profile on steemocean, here - you will see that today's data shows a count of 132 votes made for the steemjet tag during the indexing period stated at the top of the page. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will find all of the votes listed in total. You can then click on the table column marked 'main category' and you can see all of the votes he made and comments/posts that the votes were made for. You can click on the timestamp on the left side and open up the post to check that the vote exists.
I scrolled down the list and counted well over 100 votes.
Note: that table only lists the 1st category/tag for a comment/post - so if he votes for a post/comment that has steemjet as a 2nd/3rd/4th/5th tag, then it will not show up in the list of posts on Steem Ocean in a way that you can connect to the steemjet tag. Now that I see that this is something that people will find useful, I will add it to the list of new features to add in the future.
That is why I promoted you once to be voted for witness. You just know how to solve problems in a good way, please do fix it so that it can also count for upvotes on posts/comments made using steemjet tag not only in the first category but also on the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th categories. it is going to be very useful to us,
As time goes on maybe our members of our steemjet community will all have to vote you as witness for setting up this great tool. Thank you
Yep! Totally didn't know that it only counts the first category tag.
To be clear, the middle list on the profile page, that shows categories, DOES currently include a count of posts where the tag is used in any position in the list of tags. Only the bottom list is limited to the first tag.
To be clear: The image below includes counts of posts and even "comments" under a certain tag in "any" position.
While the "Votes Cast During Indexing Period", only includes the first tag used?
Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying all this @ura-soul. :)
@jlordc, @empato365 & @afolwalex - I have now updated the vote tracking table on the voter page at Steem Ocean. You can now search by category and user name within the list to see exactly which posts/comments the user voted for according to the category/username you enter. So you should now be able to easily track your #steemjet tag and the votes made by your group.

Will it also count votes made for comments on steemjet tags in the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th category?
Or just the first category?
Yes, that was explained in the post. You can see the extra categories listed visually for each vote now.
This list shows counts of votes cast for each category, including votes for comments that appear under posts that were made for that category (as far as I know).
Yes, the 'votes cast during indexing period' currently only displays the first category for the comment/post that was voted for.
you are welcome!

Ohhh That's what those were for. Lol Great job, makes it the more easier for us.
hehe, I just added a text title above the list to make that a bit clearer.
