My good friend @guri-gure pointed to me the other day that there was this contest from minnowbooster. He wanted me to join the contest as well as he. The point of the contest is to create a super goat... pretty much that haha, no extra guideline was given.

Some other entries focused on making a Super Goat, like a super hero... well I wanted to do something like an anti-hero character, or more badass looking. I like making a cyborg or robotic goat, which would fly by having mechanical wings, and rockets for feet. It would also have bionic eyes, and a super powerful laser gun. And last but not least, electric horns. The color scheme is a no fail, with red and black being a great combo. Maybe there's no good contrast on his laser weapon, but the rest I like how it looks.

This is the different layers I used for the drawing:

Sketching

This layer had just some light strokes of what I had in mind. Some things were not added to the final drawing because as I draw, I change my mind in what I want to incorporate, but don't erase those lines.

Inking

Next is inking, where I define the lines I want to see, and also give them different thickness sometimes

Painting

Now that the character is defined, is time to add color. The layer for coloring is below the inking layer, that way when I paint, I can't get outside of the boundaries (or is easy to fix if I do).

Highlights

Finally, if I'm happy with the colors and how it looks, I like to add highlights to the drawing like shadows or bright sections. This is also another layer, in case I mess up the highlight, I don't have to recolor everything.
