This post really rings true for me. It took me a short time to realize that this platform is really about the people - a useful tool for finding the connections & support we need - as well as sharing our passions and creativity with the community.

As a very new user and aspiring musician, your experience is confirming the usefulness of the platform for me. I did my first open mic submission this week, and I saw how it was the best performing post that I have made so far. It helped me realize that if I post something that I am really excited about, I am rewarded for my participation in the community (in addition to just feeling good for sharing my gifts).
