Steemit Ultimate challenge -week 5

For those who have been following my story, I am sure you all know about me but for those reading my success story or visiting my blog for the first time, please allow me to reintroduce myself.

My name is Emediong Ndueso Silas, I am a student who has many vocations that would make one wonder how I keep up with all of it but that's just the beauty of it.. I am managing it just fine; it could get very stressful tho 🙈.

This week, I have been very busy with school work because my exams has started so I was excited to check in today and discover the link for week 5 is out because I didn't want to miss out.

I am going to digress from all the usual communications and talk specifically on the strangers that became my friends on steemit and the transformation of our relationship beyond steemit.

Personally, when I first joined steemit, I was all in for the money. I knew later on I had to interact with the community but I didn't know I would get attached to people who would leave an indelible mark in my life.

I can say, in my own self assessment that I am very sociable and make friends alot which I tend to care about. But when I first started my interactions with people on steemit, I was not just getting through in that aspect till that fateful day..

My first steemian turned friend and bestie is @samstickkz. I can still recall how it all started. When @datibomchic added me to the steemit-uyo whatsapp group, most of the people kept referencing @samstickkz. Aside from the fact that he was among the first set of people to join steemit from Uyo, if not the first, for some good deeds of his, his name all was on the group and @pangoli on my introductory post had already told me to get to him if I needed any clarification or assistance on steemit.

Fortunately for me, during one of my early days on steemit and in the group, there was a contribution($0.01) that had to be made for @jeline who was celebrating her birthday and as a newbie, my account had $0.00 and I sent a chat in the group asking if newbies were exempted because they had the intention to give but didn't have yet. @samstickkz replied that he has sent me $0.02 to my account, I can go ahead and make my contribution and keep what would be left.

Now, this act of kindness got me; he barely knew me yet he willingly sent me that gift and that was the beginning of it.. I later messaged him for more clarification where I didn't quite get the logic and he was already ready to help. We started chatting regularly with reference to steemit and before I knew it, we had digressed from steemit questions to personal life questions.

@samstickkz in the short period I have known him is an amazing fellow, when I look at where he has been, where he is and where he is heading to, all I see is success and a diary of a great man and i am happier knowing I met him. For someone who has achieved alot on steemit, he is always ready to help me. When I need that self motivation and encourage to get it going, he is always there. I just met him but it feels like I have known him for ages. Am happy we are friends and I am excited you replied my chat that day if not, guess it would have still been only knowing you as the Uyo steemit boss when there is more to you.

The next amazing person who steemit has blessed my life with is @morahn. I first met this guy in the genesisproject group(one of the whatsapp group for steemians I am in). He first sent me a private chat, saying he liked my profile picture and I posed like a model and just wanted to say Hi. I giggled to myself and told him thank you. From there, we got to know ourselves and more about steemit as telling each other the little we knew as newbies. The first contest I ever participated on steemit was courtesy of him. He put me up for it in my absence because according to him.. "I had what it takes". I was marvelled because we just got chatting, never seen each other and he was this helpful.

This is one person, am grateful I met through steemit. He is always very encouraging and for every contest he learns about he is always telling me to give it a try. I did a contest recently on poetry and it was actually my first poem ever, courtesy of @dorbatim for encouraging me to give poetry a try and @morahn for coincidentally sending me a contest link on poetry. And I emerged third in the competition😁😁😁💃💃💃. Imagine my joy when I saw I won. Sometimes all we need are the right set of friends. @samstickkz once said if your friends don't encourage you to be better than the person you were yesterday, change them. Luckily for me; I don't have to go through that stress.

The next person on the list though we have never had a personal chat but only communicate through his posts on his blog is @dorbatim. The first time I encountered him was when I saw one of his poems, I read through it and appreciated it because it gave me a moral lesson and from that time, I activated notifications for his blog so I don't miss out on any of his blogs. He has encouraged me in more ways than he realizes and I am grateful to him for that.

Still in that order, the next person will be @pangoli. Why I consider him my friend even when we have never had a chat or personal interaction is because of his welcoming attitude to me the very dat I joined steemit and that's why I had to help,the moment I had the opportunity to.

The latest addition to that list would be @bania.. I discovered his blog while reading a motivational message and discovered we are in the same niche and he followed back just like that. I was surprised. It's not everyday I get a whale follow me. Thanks for that.

So for this week, my success story on steemit is possible through these beautiful people, to all my ever faithful followers and those always upvoting me. Am making it on steemit because you pushed me.
