Accused held in singer's murder case reveals 'Moose Wala kar denge...' plot for Salman Khan

Police said an initial interrogation of Kapil Pandit, who was arrested in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala case, revealed that there was a plan to attack Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

(File photos)Punjab Police on Sunday said initial interrogation of the arrested accused in Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder case hinted that there was a plan to attack Bollywood actor Salman Khan.This comes after Nepal Police on Saturday arrested Deepak Mundi, the last accused in the case, along with his two associates, Kapil Pandit and Rajinder, near the West Bengal-Nepal border.

They were remanded to 7-day police custody by a Mansa court.

Police said one of the accused, Kapil Pandit, was involved in the recce done by Lawrence Bishnoi to attack Salman Khan. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said others accused in the case will also be interrogated to get more leads on the connection with Salman Khan.ALSO READ | Sidhu Moose Wala murder: Strong nexus between terror groups, murder accused, says Punjab DGPIn June this year, an unsigned letter with the message “tumhara Moose Wala kar denge (you will end up like Moose Wala), allegedly addressed to actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan, was found at Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand promenade.Salman Khan’s lawyer, Hastimal Saraswat, also received a threat letter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang which was found outside his chamber. The slip read, “You will meet the same fate as Moose Wala”.
