The off season heading into the 2018-2019 NBA may be marred speculation combined with a contrasting bit of excitement particularly with regards to the future of Lebron James. If you don’t already know by now, the world’s greatest basketball player will be on the market available to take his talents where ever he so pleases. Teams will be licking their chops at the thought of having James added to their rosters, however the real question is which team will be the best suitor for “The King”.
Because he is basketball royalty and an asset that almost ten times out of ten will ensure your team an NBA conference championship, he has options. Unfortunately only one lucky winner will will be able to capitalize, utilizing his expertise in which the tireless campaigning has already begun. One Eastern Conference team has started wooing his majesty, but is it enough?
The Philadelphia 76ers are an organization off to an interesting start, with high hopes and enough cap space to incorporate Lebron into their roster. And in true Hollywood fashion have resurrected three billboards subtly recruiting King James. And to give you a laugh out loud moment of the day, in Embiid like trolling fashion, they had the audacity to put these billboards just miles away from the Quicken Loans Arena where the Cavaliers play.
What the 76ers have going
- Youth is on their side with fresh legs and a desire to play defense at an elite level
- The allure of playing in a large market
- Lebron has already established a mentor-mentee relationship with budding star, Ben Simmons
- With Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Dario Saric, and Robert Covington as his teammates he could guarantee an Eastern Conference title.
- The fans are loyal and would welcome Lebron with open arms.
