SSP 100 Days Challenge (Day 81): EDEN'S ORCHARD
This is my eighty-firt entry for the Steemit School of Poetry 100 Days Challenge.
EDEN'S ORCHARD
succulent leaves of ancient plants
thick-skinned fruits of rare trees
sweet smells of weird, ripe berries
Eden's orchard's full and yielding
easily plucked plums juicy and tender
pink pineapples hang from a palm tree
bunches of tiny blue pears fall
floating in the quiet rivers of paradise
lush flowers of iridescent green
green canopy from God's original trees
thorn-less roses and nectarine vines
giant grapes grow from the ground
all that variety to choose from
yet they have to pick the dull apple
with an almost non-smell
uninterestingly hanging from the dull tree
just because the they were told not to

Nunca podremos estar a la par de la naturaleza, sin embargo somos tan prepotentes para exigir y decidir ante tanta variedad exuberante de olores y sabores. Saludos.

The forbidden is attractive, dear.
This poem attracted me to the theme of the garden, I have one, but I know that the author's idea is not only to present the varieties of fruits, flowers and vegetables that can be achieved by working in a garden. I think the intention here is to talk about capricious human nature. How human beings are so incomprehensible, many times. What normally can or should be attractive is not what usually attracts us, there is always something else that is very particular for each person. The forbidden is one of the strongest arguments that are reflected here, but it can be more. The interest of each one will depend on different factors: inheritance, education, studies, experience, race, wisdom, religion, culture.
Good poem that makes us reflect on what he proposes. Congratulations for your great job, @sansoncarrasco
