TIMELESS WORLD: Day 3 Steemit School Poetry Challenge

And the voice broke the silence
In the head of a boy- stranded in the throat of a lost bird;

He said one day
Your cries shall stretch into the consonants
In the mouth of men, bursting into rivers
Men, stretching into darkness
To find broken pieces of light
That fell from the songs holding cities
Where boys are mocked for living in their skin

He said someone would leap into your bones
With the picture of a man in 1967
Wearing a cloth with the inscription of words
Hiding in the vertebra of ravens
Who rave(d) the skies of countries like Libya
Counting the dead bodies of angels
Who died in the poems, recited by Africans

He said a time would come
When a mother would open her heart and run from sanity;
-for breeding hope that held her body in a trance
-for diving into the coldness of wet nights
-for calling life; a boy learning the art of crawling
Only to find him running into her bones with black roses

He said, stream your tongue
To master the language of water
How they move from east to west, with;
-photographs of memories skating on time
-photographs of lovers at the shores of farewell
-photographs of God, weeping for the second time for parting with his son(s)

... and the voice filled the air with songs
That burn our bodies into a timeless world.

Sometimes, fate do not come through death- unannounced.

Oh my!!
How come i hadn't seen this before?
Perfect!

Your words came through to me as though it was water washing my hearts with words not to rid it of dirts but to drown it in knowledge. Nice piece.
