Truthful Lies- Steemit School 100 Days Poetry Contest(#Day 9)
The world in its seemingly sweet chaos
Cruises about in waves weaving lies
And the very hypocrisy in us
Portrays even in our eyes
When men in neat black suits
Feed the nation with crumbs
And we see this but remain mute
And smile to them with our lifted thumbs
Isn't there lies even in our truths?
But in times past we atleast feed on bread of honesty
What happened to court of truth?
Where selfless men persecuted profanity
Profanity, hypocrisy in our flags
Deceit even in its colours
We now wear truth as tags
But stink of lies and it odours
Let us wear banners of selfless truth
And pursue earthly ruth
It will cost us nothing but just being true
