Distractions | Day 3 of 100 Steemit School poetry challenge
I have been dealing with distractions. I think most of us deal with it every day. A simple phone vibration may snatch your attention and makes you unfocused, eats your time and then boom! You know you've just wasted time.
To be near you it stalks
If you allow it you'll get caught
You'll suffer the backlash it brought
I've slid to this demise, want to get out but how?
The sweetness of vanity creeping inside
Oh, how tricky the falsehoods it provide
Seems no value when pleasure has won
This body of death, it is what it is
Hunger for pleasure and worldly demise
The reasons to catch up? As many as hair
When it grabs your attention and brings apathy
Know where to run to, know where to be

Yes, I think it's important to not be distracted from the more important things in life! I think you did a great job on capturing what it's like to be distracted and wishing you weren't!
Exactly! We just can't control certain situations every moment our life (because our body despises us😂) but that doesn't mean we must give up on the important things. Just focus focus focus!
Yep, you have hit the nail on the head with that description of distractions. I tend to bury my head in sand when I get overwhelmed, then have to struggle the next day not get distracted and get everything done.
Right, @hopehuggs! We tend to hide from reality when we get overwhelmed, very true! But yeah, when reality slaps us after being reckless in terms of time management, it hits hard and all we gonna do is a sigh. Thanks for your comment by the way! 😊
