"100 day Poetry Challenge [Day 66]" - Poetry: Life - A Pool of Choices
Hi everyone, I hope you are doing great. It's again about the 100 DAY POETRY CHALLENGE (hosted by @d-pend). It's Day 66 today and below is my entry.
A BRIEF ABOUT MY ENTRY
Today, my entry titled "Life - A Pool of Choices" is a free verse poem expressing the number of choice available for us and how it define us. I hope you enjoy it.
Roses are red, known and identified
Black is a color, known and identified.
Tell me, what are you known for?
Life is a trial, tricky and tasking
Opportunities lurks around - awaiting
Tell me, what steps are you taking?
Good manners are rewarding - appreciated.
Humility attracts, builds you reputation
Tell me, how do you present yourself?
Family is key, welcoming and motivating
Friendship aids, stands by you - supporting
Tell me, how are you treating people?
Trust is earned, fragile yet strong
Honesty makes you reliable - trusted
Tell me, how are you described?
The world is a pool of choices
Pick the one that suits you
And never hesitate to swim buoyantly.

This valuable poem is structured in six stanzas of three free verses each, presenting each end of stanza a reflection question for the reader "Poetry: life - A group of options" brings us a vision of identity, from the images. However, it ventures into different aspects of "that" that defines people, as the title exalts. The first thing that repairs the voice within the poem is discrimination by color. It speaks of red-pink / black "known and identified", without referent. I assume that it is part of what you want to convey: black is only a color, it should not constitute a label. Each reflection is immersed in a suggestion of action to be a better person, giving what is expected to receive. In general it is a pleasant poem with a harmonious voice. Congratulations, friend did a great job.
