'Separate and Co-Create' - 100 Day Poetry Contest Day 75
Welcome... To a 100 day journey into the poetic minds of the @steemitschool writing community!
Today's piece just came to be out of the flow, inspired by the idea of splitting off from society and government and forming smaller communities that are self-sustained and off the grid.

Separate and Co-Create
Feel Free,
In a world governed by
Money.
In a society that -
Breeds Greed.
Fighting for this thing that
We All Apparently Need.
Shackles bound.
Suddenly when we try to fly...
We’re tied.
Restrained…
Restricted,
From reaching to the sky.
But why?
Because that noose around our neck,
Can be let loose.
We don’t have to suffocate,
We can politely refuse…
We just have to choose.
We can escape from the bubble,
That has caused us so much trouble.
All we have to do,
Is remove ourselves from view.
Get off the grid -
Be independent.
Form communities -
Transcendence...
Free from the rules -
The prison walls,
That for so long,
Have trapped us all.
For all this time we've been
Played as fools...
Yet we are free to
Change it all.
We have the tools to
Break down walls.
We have have what we need,
To remove all the weeds...
Then plant new seeds,
And watch them grow tall...
And the fruits of our labour,
Will soon feed us all.
We can harness Earth’s power,
To give heat to our showers,
To receive all the energy,
To create electricity
To power everything we need.
We can grow our own crops...
No need to pop to the shops,
Just something that we forget.
All we need is a plot...
Just one piece of land -
In our own fantasy land.
Where we can build some special
Just using our hands.
Where be can live and be free,
Forming a community,
Coming into Unity,
Where there is no longer -
'You' and 'Me',
But just -
One Intelligent Entity.
A place where instead -
We all work as one...
Each happily doing what needs to be done,
Building together until the web has been spun.
Living off the fat of the land..
Finally back to
Where We Begun.
