Day 15 of Steemit School Poetry: A BEETLE
Hi Friends,
Based on @laurawhite's suggestion, I will writing a poem to acknowledge and celebrate John Lennon.

A pair of glasses
This was the first of many things
That made you a Beetle.
Then that smile that was trapped within
Thin tight lips.
It was as if you had the world
Caged within your molars-
You freed the world bit by bit
With every lyrics strummed by your guitar.
And their guitars too- the brothers.
Yuri
She was the first of many things,
That made you into you, Lennon.
The second was your son,
The third was a vacation,
On the waters.
Your playful lyrics must have flowed from the
Wetness in your hair.

Imagine
It made you into a legend.
A legend that expands with time.
Yuri,
She must have sat naked with you
In the bathroom,
When you composed Imagine.
Because with a raw and naked sway,
It took the world by storm.
Peace
It made you into a martyr.
You asked for peace over and over again
Till it found you at your doorstep-
The gunman who shot you,
He said he was looking for peace.
And for a man who imagined too much,
He thought you had plenty to share.
So he killed you so he could snatch
Your peace,
And keep it for himself.
