Steemit Sandwich Contest Week #64 - Friday Fish & Chips with Avo
I had planned a really nice dinner for Friday night but when my family heard they were not getting the usual Fish & Chips, all my plans went out the window as they demanded the usual takeout order.
But to be totally honest, it did not take much persuasion on their part as I was only too happy to put in an online takeout order and sit back - no need to even pick up the telephone!
Another but - that dinner was going to become my weekly SSC sandwich stash, but whoever said fish & chips would not make a good burger?
Fish arrived delivered by bike, not a boat, ready to be served and smelling delicious.
Now if we'd caught that fish ourselves, I would have had the job of:
- Gutting it
- Descaling it
- Filleting it
- Seasoning and battering it
- Frying it
- Washing all the pots and pans
But this Friday night the fish arrived and it was all ready to be devoured by hungry mouths:
- Sesame seed Burger bun
- Crispiest beer battered deep sea Hake, deep fried to perfection
- Crispy onion rings
- Crispy potato chips
- Crispy crunchy Sweet Coleslaw
- Crunchy coated Fish cakes ordered as an afterthought
- Creamy Butter Avocado from a friend's garden

- Simply layer Avocado, Coleslaw, Fish and Onion Rings and serve with Chips & Fish Cake

To be honest I never use avo in food, prefer to eat with a spoon sprinkled with salt and vinegar, each to their own taste.

You really made me hungry with this delicacy @lizelle! I looooooooooove fish and chips, and of course cole slaw. Now I'm going to have to make this for Mr. Bird. Can't have the fried too often, but once in a while, yep! Well done and good luck my friend :)
