Steemit Photo Challenge #45 Celebrations Entry 3 - Rapai Geleng
Rapai Geleng is a percussion instrument of Aceh, played by a group of dancers combined with poem singing. The sound of rapai geleng accompanied by a unique and dynamic synchronous movement by the dancer. The dance performance was held on the anniversary of the important days in Aceh.
This type of dance is meant for men. Usually who plays this dance there are 12 men who have been trained. The poem is socialization to the community about how to live in society, religion and solidarity are upheld. [Translated wikipedia.org]
However I shoot when played simultaneously by men and women. Perhaps this dance has been developed over the times.

This is one of the best legacies for our generation left by our predecessors. Rapai used to share da'wah through art. Most of The lyrics contain islamic teaching and islamic invitation to worship God, to do good things to people and any other useful things. So as young generation we must do something to conserve this legacy for our future grandsons.@mahdie
