Been a while since I've run across a marmot! Need to get up into the high country asap. Is it (RMNP) not crowded during the week currently?
It's crowded all summer, weekdays and weekends. The trick is to park early (before 7am) and get past the trailheads as quickly as possible. Most visitors don't hike in more than a mile or two. Avoid Bear Lake at all costs.
ah yes, that parking lot is always crammed - thanks for the tips! Traffic here is reaching critical mass!
