SteemitPhotoChallenge Entry - "Flymouth" - @papa-pepper
THIRD AND FINAL ENTRY FOR STEEMIT PHOTO CHALLENGE #3 FOR @PAPA-PEPPER
FLYMOUTH
A large lake nearby was created by flooding the old town site. There are old foundations and an old bridge down there that I thought would work out great for shooting some desolate photographs. Unfortunately, some of it is currently under water and much of the rest is so overgrown that you can't see it. When we finished up not accomplishing much over there, we drove up to where the town is now. Then I saw it, a dead fish, just laying there in the grass next to the parking lot. The first thing I thought was that someone had not only spoiled their meal, they also missed out on some good fertilizer. Then I thought, maybe he looks desolate, so I can over to check. His eye was all glossy and his mouth was full of flies, so I took some pictures. I think this was the best one.
Just to change the morbid overtone a bit, here's some butterflies I photographed yesterday. Enjoy!
Plus, who doesn't want a selfie with a dead fish next to a parking lot?
