Kaolack Streets 🌀 Steemit Photo Challenge 40 (Entry 2)

I took this photo in a medium sized town called Kaolack in Senegal. Some guy came over and tried to sell me Osama bin Laden t-shirts a few minutes after this. He found this very funny for some reason. I loved the mix of vehicles, animals and goods going about on the muddy streets.

(Forgot what type of camera.)

That horse looks over work and under fed. So skinny.

I think that every working animal that I saw was like that. Sad indeed.

Guess to be fair, most humans there are probably also not getting enough to each.

Very true. One of the proofs is that I also saw, (but failed to get pictures) truckloads as far as the eye could see, overfilled with 50 lb sacks of cashew nuts, marked with $1 USD on them. They sell here for like 12$ for I dunno, 500 gr? The trucks were waiting at a seaport to get unloaded. The rumour we heard was that farmers are told they must grow cashews or peanuts along with their other crops, and a portion is directly "taxed."

Good shot - it is interesting to see the streets there and compare it with our streets - shows us again how good our life is here and that we need to help others.

Sure is a vast difference. Yet on those streets, travel the same dreams and desires as ours. You're so right... Thanks.
