The Transfagarasan route is one of the most popular in Romania, due to the height at which it was built, the beautiful landscapes and numerous serpentines. The road crosses the Fagaras mountains, the highest in Romania, which are part of the Southern Carpathians. The Transfagarasan connects Muntenia to Transylvania and is 92 km long.
