Steemit Photo Challenge #32 - Trees
I'm just catching up to the Tree Photo Challenge. I realized that i have a a lot of tree photographs in my "portfolio" from all over the US. So here we go, some of my favorites and the ones that were easy to dig up... at least for the first round:
The trees of Los Angeles. I love the way they look during sunset/dusk. It's either the silhouettes that capture me or the beautiful tones once the last beams of the sun hit them:

A pretty big and old tree in our West-Los Angeles neighborhood
Just a few miles to the east, close to downtown Pasadena:

A row of huge cedar trees looking down the city form the hills surrounding Noe Valley
This particular tree branch has a unobstructed view of San Francisco Bay, and it will probably keep it for a very long time as the tree it belongs to is sitting on a top of a hill with no viable place to build in front of it! A prime location if you are a tree!
Let's stay in Northern California and build on the article and photos I uploaded yesterday ... one of my favorite spots. The giant redwoods of Humboldt County:
The majestic forest with surreal lighting... everywhere you look!
I have plenty of material from the redwoods and it's hard to do it justice, no matter how many more I upload ....
Let's change the theme a bit and hop to Maui - Hawaii:
This will be your view most of the time while lounging in a hammock with open eyes!
Some of those same palm trees from the distance a few hours later and during sunset! With the light painting the most beautiful colors over them!
... and finally, back to California .... the magnificent and very unique Joshua Trees and the National Park surrounding them
