SteemitPhotoChallenge #44: Über Dank Burger from our Sustainable Outdoor Kitchen
We love growing, preparing, and sharing food!
We've given you a taste of our intimate relationship with food in previous posts: please click here to learn more.
We also love Steemit, so we're especially inspired to enter the food-themed Steemit Photo Challenge #44!
This is our third and final entry, an epic Über Dank Burger from our sustainable outdoor kitchen:
We flame grilled this beauty outside on our earthen grill, fueled by wood that was otherwise destined for the landfill! Cooking over fire adds a flavor that can't be beat.
We sandwiched it on two slices of toasted sourdough. The toppings elevate this wonder from great to über dank: we used garlic mayo and fresh lemon thai basil pesto, juicy tomatoes and garden greens, homemade ketchup, sautéed onions and peppers, and gobs of guacamole!!!
MMMMMMmmmmmmm!!!!!
Big thank you to @jamtaylor & @berniesanders for regularly hosting the SPC to build community here on Steemit! Thanks to @gringalicious for being the guest judge & for bringing high quality content to the platform--check out her blog for more inspired food photography & recipes!!
Please enjoy a few more photos from our sustainable outdoor kitchen:
This is how we build our stoves.
Grill-a-rific
Sautéeing up peppers & onions with love on one of our rocket stoves!
Cooking over fire is really where it's at!
Now, you are making me super hungry!
What a scrumptious layout you served us. If you weren't so far, I'd buy one! Thanks a bunch for sharing the sustainable ways with us. I'm sure exposing such life choices can only help us all on the long run. ;)
All for one and one for all! Namaste :)
GARLIC MAYO AND PESTO, ANGUS BURGER,ONIONS...MMMMM IM SO HUNGRY!!
Damn, that is certainly one dank looking burger. Now I'm hungry...
We take our burgers very seriously :)
That looks fantastic.
Thank you, it was pretty fantastic!
Those peppers and onions looks absolutely delicious. Loving all of those colors. :)
Oh yeah! We are big fans of using bright colors, lots of flavors, and a combo of textures in our creations.
The more colors = the better. The one thing I hate is on a plate everything is brown or white. Nature is filled with so much color & so should your plate.
Pictures are great but the food I follow more!!!
Thank you, @hebro!
Looks TAsty! and your kitchen is really unusual:)
Thanks, @polyurethane! We do all of our cooking outside, and we burn fence panels and other wood to fuel our stoves. It's 100% powered by "trash" resources!!!
Wauw, that looks so great awesome pictures. I bet the food is good to!
Thanks, @mylifestory! We are the best cooks we know :)
I love to cook outside on the rocket stove I built out of clay from our creek bed. Your food pictures look delicious. I wish more people would want to hang outside with me. : )
You sound like our kind of people, @silversmyth!
That look so good !!
Thanks, it tasted even better than it looked :)
Oh I bet!!
