On this weekend. What better to do then smoke some meat. Pork shoulder. I am using a Traeger smoker, with a Traeger recipe, but the rub is a secret. I also injected it with apple juice. Cooking for 10 hours at 225 to 250. Took the picture in the middle of smoking for the ambiance. Enjoy your weekend.
Do you notice a large difference between the use of Apple Juice versus Pineapple Juice? I've never tried apple juice when cooking pork.
I haven't uses Pineapple Juice as much. Probably because I always have apple juice on hand. Most rubs I use always seem to have some amount of brown sugar, so I just use apple. Do you always use Pineapple?
