Giving Back By Revisiting Old Monastery

This was last year when we visited the Poor Claire Monastery at Tayud, Consolacion Cebu. It was just as beautiful as it was when we visited it way back 2 years ago.

We came here before to give thanks for the blessings received and for her success to pass the board exam. She promised that once she makes it, we would definitely come back and show how grateful we are for all the things that were showered upon us.

Years back, we do usually visit this church with my family and it was always a wonderful experience since, the place is so nice, the ambiance is great and the environment is so fresh. Electric fans were seldom used since the cool breeze freshens up the place and I could always commend how the place was maintained.

The unique thing about this monastery is that it is run by nuns, yes you heard it right. They are the devotees of Saint Claire in which they dedicated their selves by staying in the monastery and maintaining the order and solemnity of the place. Also, masses held here only have one schedule and that would be only at 9 am in the morning.

This year hopefully, we do also look forward to getting back to this place since we could always reminisce the experience in and attending masses, the fresh environment, and the solemnity of the place that would really help you to reflect on things in life.
