Why do I use steemit username @mrspointm? 🎀 为什么我叫 @mrspointm？

Yesterday, I happened to read @joythewanderer’s post and knew that there was an activity named #steemitnamechallenge, which was so interesting. Though nobody nominated me, yet I do want to participate in it.

昨天碰巧读到 @joythewanderer的文章，才得知有一个叫做steemitnamechallenge的活动在火热进行时，当时就觉得特别有趣。尽管没有人点名我，但我也要参加！😌

As for my username, I have to refer to my fiancé @mrpointp. Friends on this platform seldom spell our names in a right way, for they always mix “mrs” up with “mr”. It's known to us that “Mr.” is a title used to address a man. When applying for this account, he wanted a username which didn’t include any character like “.”，pronounced “point ” in English. Therefore, he used mrpoint to replace Mr. and P is the first letter of his family name Péng. That is to say, mrspointp means Mr. Peng. Similarly, mrspoint means Mrs. and M is the first letter of Mǎ.

说起我的用户名，不得不提到我的未婚夫 @mrpointp。在steemit上，应该没有几个朋友能把我们的名字拼写正确字，总是会把mrs和mr弄混淆。大家都知道，Mr.是对男性的称呼（先生）。在申请账号的时候，他不希望他的用户名中出现任何字符，为了保留r后面的小点，我们直接把它换成英文的读音point。因此Mr.其实就是mrpoint，最后一个字母p其实是他姓（彭）的读音的第一个字母，所以彭先生就是mrpointp。同理，我应该叫mrspointp，但又怕大家误以为是同一个账号，我就把最后一个字母p换成了我的姓m。

My real name is Ma Yi. Its pronunciation sounds a bit like mǎ yǐ (means ant in English), so ant is also my nickname. But from the photo above, I don’t look like an ant. Instead, I’m tall.😉

我的真实名字是Ma Yi，它的读音其实有一点像蚂蚁。因此，这个绰号从小就伴随着我，朋友们会在前面加一个小字，变成了小蚂蚁。但我可一点都不小喔，有图有真相，我很高咧！

Now, let’s come to the last question. I’ve never considered changing my present username. I am a nostalgic person. Once I’m used to something, it is hard for me to make a change. More importantly, mrs and mr have become our common labels. Last October, @mrpointp and I were so honored to work as shop assistants for a day in #laodr-teahouse. At that time, @deanliu named us double point couple (diǎn diǎn fū fù in Chinese), which I like so much.

最后，对于是否会考虑更改用户名，我的答案是否定的。我是一个念旧的人，一旦对一个东西习惯了就很难再变了。更重要的是mrs和mr似乎已经成为了我们的标签。去年十月的某天，我和 @mrpointp在刘美女的带领下，很荣幸成为了老道茶馆当天的店小四，点点夫妇也是由他取名而来，同时我非常喜欢这个昵称！希望大家看到我或他都会想起点点夫妇！💑
