The Steemit Name Challenge - @katto

สวัสดีค่ะ เพื่อนๆ ชาว Steemit

เมื่อ 3 วันก่อน ฉันถูกเชิญโดย @koto-art และ วันนี้ โดย @noopu ขอบคุณทั้งสองคนมากนะคะ ที่คิดถึงกัน วันนี้คงต้องเขียนแล้วหละค่ะ นี่เป็น challenge เกี่ยวกับ “ชื่อของเราที่ใช้ใน Steemit” ค่ะ

ชื่อใน Steemit ของฉัน คือ @katto ซึ่งมาจากชื่อเล่นว่า “Kat” ของฉันเอง จริงๆ ชื่อเล่นของฉันคือ “Cat-แคท” ซึ่งแม่ของฉัน ภาคภูมิใจมากที่จะให้ลูกมีชื่อเล่นเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ตอนเด็กๆ ฉันอายมาก เพราะตอนนั้นเด็กไทย ไม่ค่อยจะมีชื่อเล่นเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ และคำถามที่มักถูกถามบ่อยๆ คือ “ชื่อเล่นชื่อแคท ชื่อจริงชื่อ "แคทลียา" หรือเปล่าค่ะ” ซึ่ง “แคทลียา” ไม่เข้ากับหน้าของฉันเลย 5555 ฉันจึงคิดจะเปลี่ยนชื่อเล่นตัวเองหลายครั้ง และชื่อที่ชอบที่สุดคือ “แฟ๊บ”

ใช่แล้วค่ะ ชื่อยี่ห้อผงซักฟอกนั่นแหละ ตอนนั้น ฉันคิดว่า ชื่อ “แฟ๊บ” นี้เป็นชื่อที่เท่ที่สุดแล้ว ก่อนที่ “แฟ๊บ” ก็โดน “เปาบุ้นจิ้น” และ “บรีส” ถล่ม แล้วทำให้ฉันล้มเลิกความคิดไป

แต่มันสายเกินไป ทุกคนจำชื่อ “Cat-แคท” ได้หมดแล้ว งั้นไม่เปลี่ยนก็ได้ ขอเปลี่ยนแค่ตัวอักษร จาก “C” เป็น “K” ละกัน เพราะ “Cat” ที่แปลว่า แมวมันน่ารักเกินไปสำหรับฉัน แต่ใครจะเขียนเป็น “C” ฉันก็โอเค

ส่วนชื่อ “Katto” นั้น ได้มาตอนเรียนที่ญี่ปุ่น การเขียนคำภาษาอังกฤษด้วยอักษรญี่ปุ่นนั้น เช่น “Hot” ก็จะอ่านเป็นภาษาญี่ปุ่นว่า Hotto (ฮอตโตะ) และ “Kat” ก็จะอ่านว่า “Katto” (แคตโตะ) เพราะคำพวกนี้เป็น “เสียงกัก” จะต้องมีตัวโตะ (to) "ト" มารับข้างหลัง ถึงจะอ่านได้ คล้ายๆ กับภาษาไทย เช่น คำว่า “รัก” ถ้ามีแค่ “ รั_” ก็จะอ่านไม่ได้ จึงต้องใส่ “ก” เข้าไป เพียงแต่ภาษาไทยคือการผสมให้เป็นคำเดียว

แต่ตัวโตะ (to) "ト" นั้น ก็คือหนึ่งในตัวอักษรที่มีเสียงในการอ่าน จึงทำให้เกิดอีกเสียงหนึ่ง คือ โตะ (to) ขึ้น อย่างเช่น ชื่อของฉัน ถ้าเขียนเป็นด้วยตัวอักษรญี่ปุ่นเพียงเค่ "キャッ" จะไม่สามารถอ่านได้ ดังนั้นจึงต้องเขียน "キャット" ซึ่งฉันก็ชอบชื่อ “katto” มาก

ถ้าสามารถเปลี่ยนชื่อที่ใช้ใน Steemit นี้ได้ ฉันก็ยังไม่แน่ใจว่า จะเปลี่ยนดีไหม เพราะตอนนี้มีแค่ “After sunset” ซึ่งยังไม่ค่อยโดนใจ เท่าไหร่

1.เล่าให้ฟังว่า ทำไมจึงเลือกชื่อนี้ สำหรับใช้ใน Steemit ของคุณ และมีที่มาที่ไปอย่างไร
2.ถ้าคุณสามารถเปลี่ยนชื่อใน Steemit นี้ได้ คุณจะใช้ชื่อใหม่ว่าอะไรบ้าง และเพราะอะไร ช่วยเขียนบอกหน่อยค่ะ

Hi Steemit friends
Three days ago, I was nominated by @koto-art and today by @noopu to join “The Steemit Name Challenge”. Thank you for both of you. I was nominated by two persons, so I should write it today. @koto-art Sorry that a little bit late^^

The rules :

1. Tell us in a post how you chose the current Steemit username you have. The story behind it.
2. If you could change your current username, which name would you choose and why? If you have a possible usernames list, mention it!
3. Use the tag #steemitnamechallenge so that the creator of the challenge can track all the posts and check them out
4. Nominate 5 people for this challenge
   

I also saw @noopu wrote about the name of Thai. If you have Thai friend, you will understand about Thai name.

Thai people always has 2 names, those are the "real name" for formal such as ; the education or working which it is often long and difficult to call sometime. Then we also have "nickname" " for informal such as; family, friend or lover.

My steemit name is @katto which it comes from my nickname "Kat”. Actually, my nickname is "Cat". My mother gave me this name when I was born. On that time, I was so shy with this nickname because Thai childrens not really have the nickname in English. Many times I want to change to the other nickname by myself but cannot, it's too late, everyone remembered it. I think "Cat" is too cute for me, then I changed to "Kat".

When I studied in Tokyo, the Japanese language cannot write my name just only "Kat". It is "キャッ" which cannot read. It must have "ト" at the last. Then It’s become to "キャット" which the reading is "Katto". You know, I really like the name.

First time, I started Steemit, I didn't think about the username before then chose @katto and I thought, it could be change later but cannot ^^.

If I can change my current username, I’m not sure. If I can find the new one that better than the current one, maybe change. Now I have only “After sunset” which still not so cool for me.
