I have never participated in any challenges in my Steemit life but my lovely follower @kamchore, who always leaves engaging comments and positives vibes on my articles nominated me. Thanks for the nomination and this actually made me happy, especially during these dark days of my life.

Why @diabolika?

Back in the day, I used to work in this little restaurant and my coworker lent me his cassette tapes (hint). He knew that I was into loud and heavy music. Then one album design of one of his cassette tapes really caught my attention, particularly the album name. For some strange reason, I felt like I was connected to it.

Diabolus in Musica

During my younger years, I was rebellious and full of teenage angst, which I think I am until now. I fell in love with 'Diabolus' because it sounds like Diablo, devil, or something outrageously wicked. That time I needed a name more appropriate for my rebellious younger self. Or for someone who does not take any shit from anyone. For someone ungodly.

So I formed a more feminine name so I could be identified in online RPGs and game chatrooms. But I already gave up this addicting gaming habit a long time ago.

I'm sorry I won't tell my real name here, yet. But some part of it is in my username. Now you have a clue and you're not allowed to guess.

I first started using @diabolika in this MMORPG game called Aika.

That is my character but that is not me, because she is not looking really poised and sophisticated here. Most of the game players called me 'dia' probably just to shorten the typing. Then I have become attached to this username. And now I'm living up to it, ha!

Will I change my username?

Well, I can have a username more related to travel like lonesome wanderer or something. But it's just not unique anymore and I'm not traveling all the time anyway. I've also thought of other weird names like beautifulgarbage or posercorpse. I thought @diabolika is more evil, feminine and unique. But I found out later on that there's some diabolika movie, a diabolika fashion website, a diabolika club and tadaaaaa....

I'm an iPhone game too. I guess I should have claimed my name a long time ago. But anyway, you all know who the real @diabolika really is.
