I know its been asked before and probably will be asked again, its more than likely that many thought or said have said it’s a good idea, but im going to ask it again. Can we please have channels on our steemit blogs please?
I have a multitude of interests that I pursue and post articles about on Steemit. From music, art, photography, writing, cars, cryptos, gaming and so much more. Problem is that followers don’t like all of the same things I do, so I can see my gaming steemians not wanting to see my musical productions or maybe my crypto steemians not being interested in my recipes. The problem arises that followers may unfollow due to the variety of article subjects they have no interest in, even if they do like the articles you post on the subject matter of their interest.
Can we have a system like on YouTube where we can set up channels for specific interests so that they can be followed? That way all the people interested in that subject get only those articles coming into their feed and not the other stuff they don’t want to see. If they like more than one thing that you create content for then they can just subscribe to those channels, boom, boom, job done. I think this would be a good way to organise our blogs and keep our various steemian sub communities interested in the articles we produce. increasing curation of quality content, keeping the flow of steem rolling.
What do you guys think ?Anything else that needs looking at for usability improvements to Steemit? would love to hear what you guys have to say.
Edit: Might i also add that we should use a tag like steemitimprovements to focus our ideas of how to make steemit a better place and experience and hopefully it will gain the attention of the right people to help implement any ideas which seem good, thank you for your time.
+1 for this. I was just thinking about this very thing today. I myself also post a lot of different content. If we could add custom channels that would be great.
Nice work on the meme @briggsy , im sure it is something we all have though of at one point or another when we look at our bloggs and feeds, lets hope talking about it gives it some traction with the big wigs :) thanks for the support

good idea @mazzle , i think if we talk about these things hopefully they can have some impact on the direction steemit takes with future improvements.
I totally want what you describe. Steemit's format is lacking.
Thanks for the support @cryptoprupp lets hope that with enough people thinking the same thing and being vocal about it that we can have something like this happen for us. its really needed for jack of all trades master of none steemians like many of us are.
