Chicken Curry Filipino Recipe #01
Hello steemians!
I want to share of one most favorite foods here in Philippines is Chicken Curry. For short trivia,this dishes originated from India their are famous in curry dishes with their spices.It brought here by Indian soldiers during the British Occupation of the Philippines on 1762-1764.
That's why I tried to cook a filipino version with coconut milk. It is called Creamy Chicken Curry.
Let me show how to cook this simple dish.
First, the ingredients that we need:
1 pc carrot,cubed
3 gloves garlic,minced
Pepper
2 tbsp curry powder
1 pc Knorr chicken cubes 10g.
2 pcs. belt pepper,sliced
2 pcs. potato,diced
1 medium onion chopped
1 pouch knorr Ginataang Gulay mix
2 pcs. green chili
1 kg. chicken cut into bite sized pieces
Salt
3 tbsp. oil
2 inch. ginger,minced
So Let's start cooking:
In medium-sized pot over medium heat,pour the oil.
Saute the garlic until browned and add onions and ginger.
Saute the chicken and let brown on all sides.
Add carrots and potatoes and pepper
Next is add the Knorr Chicken Cubes
Add Curry powder and the Knorr ginataang gulay mix and water.
Saute for few minutes.
Add belt pepper and let it simmer 15 minutes.
Add green chili and Let it simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce is thick. You can add salt or pepper to taste
It's Done.Creamy Chicken Curry is ready to eat
