The deepest sea
This is my entry for the CONTEST: A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words - 5/14/2021 by @freewritehouse.
The picture below is prompt.
In the deepest sea,
A creature exist,
Unknown to the surface.
A legend to tribes,
A treasure to the researcher.
In the deepest sea,
It is cold and dark
Though the heat on the surface is beyond compare.
The creature lay still,
breathing quietly,
Undisturbed,
peacefully.
Until the war started,
Where the surface becomes as dark as the deepest sea,
Where the clear blue sea turns red,
Everything turns cold.
There is no more peace,
There is no longer quietness for the creature to rest.
It swim to the surface,
To find out the truth,
Never did it know that it is his last swim.
A share of thoughts.
War has brought a lot of changes to our world. The leader thought that it is a must to earn peace as told by the higher ranks but no one did ever realize that it has caused much more than just the death of the soldiers.
Loves ones shed tears, houses burn, family members got separated, and people who are once sane become insane, beautiful nature destroyed, and a lot more hidden misery compared to beautiful, memorable history.
It is alright if it already happened. It has been all in history. History is supposed to be a teacher and we need to be good student. History gave guidance for a better today therefore it is up to the individual to appreciate or just to forget and repeat.
A poem that comes with deep thoughts. Thank you for joining us. 👍
