Reading is one of the ways in which a person can explore knowledge in order to become a reference or guidance in receiving and providing information. Reading can give a powerful memory of what is seen, felt, and known. Utilization in reading can boost a person's ability in analyzing even to criticize a statement.
The quality of education in this school is still below the average standard seen from the ability of students to solve problems in learning is not precise and accurate, because it is less in understanding the readings seen in the book or who gave the teacher. The ability to read children in every school in some cities is still minimal, seen by many students who are less interested to read books in the library even in the classroom.

Reading is the any requirement any student should rely on. Even if the information in a book is wrong, we can cross reference with source of information. And we can learn from there what to pick and to avoid.
Nowadays, there's no excuse for embracing reading at least once a week. We count with any form of books like ebooks and audio-books that is actually a sin to overlook. Personally, I've met people who have no professional career but are so intellectually prepared that is an exquisite to share a moment of conversation.
It's a duty for a teacher to encourage students to read. And do it in a way where the students themselves are to be the ones choose what can of books they're interested in. I think this approach will self-motivate them.
