5 very strange theories and without real scientific foundations

History is very difficult to study, because it is about ancient events and usually with protagonists who are already dead. Historians are our best way to understand situations a little more. But some researchers and pseudoscientists have been driven by circumstances, claiming things that proved wrong and even sound very strange. It is the example of these strange theories and without scientific foundations.

5. Noah's Ark

James Bryce was respected for his studies, but not too successful when he tried to prove that the facts that are told The Bible were true. He went to Mount Ararat, where he thought he could find Noah's ark. The local authorities assured him that no one had climbed it, and at the beginning of the ascent they found a piece of 1.2 meter wood, which they thought belonged to the ark. What Bryce did not know was that other people had climbed the mountain and placed wooden crosses. The largest one fell in the same place where he found those remains.

4. Troy

It is accepted by historians that Troy is located on the shores of Turkey. The site was first studied in 1870 and it is estimated that it was built in 3,000 BCE. However, Iman Jacob Wilkens proposed the theory that he is actually in England. To get this conclusion he studied The Iliad and said that it was the Gog Magog Hills, in Cambridgeshire. There were found several weapons of the Bronze Age, as if a battle had developed. According to his theory, the Trojans migrated to the Mediterranean, telling their stories of war.

3. Cranial deformation

At the beginning of the 20th century, an archaeologist found several deformed skulls in the Peruvian desert. The practice of cranial deformation existed and was very common, but for Brien Foerster these heads were different. For him, the deformation changes the structure of the skull, but in this case they were larger than a normal one. The only explanation he found was that these individuals were not human. Although it ordered a DNA test, the results were presented in a mysterious way, not even naming the laboratory where it was performed. For most historians and archaeologists, deformation falls within the possible ranges for a human.

2. War on Mars

There are certain areas of Mars that have a high concentration of Xenon 129, a type of element that abounds after nuclear disasters. With this information, John Brandenburg formulated the theory that Mars had a civilization similar to ours that was exterminated with a nuclear explosion. Among all the data he provides, he gives as an example some known optical illusions and supposed objects on the surface. He believes that it happened 180 million years ago and that it was a war between two Martian sides.

1. Atlantis

According to the geographer Ulf Erlingsson, the city of Atlantis is not as lost as it seems, but rather it is about Ireland. According to his calculations, the size is the same as Atlantis, and even the story is accessible. In the year 6100 BCE, a piece of land was sunk by a huge wave, and the stories simply got confused. As you will see, the evidences are not too many and there are no real foundations for it.
