Kids who are into Sports are the appropriate millennials!

When I was young, my older sister and younger brother always gets excited over the weekend. We do clay dough in the morning, then go outdoors in the afternoon. We had couple of neighbors around our age who go out same time in the afternoon when the sun is not too bright to hurt our eyes. We grew up having activities to play with. Various of those street games gradually became virtual games. It was gone in one blow. Feels just like yesterday that we were playing barehands and barefoot jumping ropes and jumper over the chinese garter. Now, my used-to-be playmates and I still see each other often but we don't talk too much as when we were younger. We grew distantly due to lifestyle changes. Good thing, we have social media to be updated with what's going on with them. But that was it, purely online.

Kids nowadays are into computer games too much as it had been the trend for over 10 years now. Parents are too busy to play with their kids. I see some family going out and parents handing tablets or ipads or their kids to keep them busy while the dad and the mom are talking to some business people. Gadgets has become a worldwide influence to many youth over the world.

Meanwhile, to bring back those crappy sports from a 19's kid like me, is uh, a bit difficult for now but actually, it isn't possible. I still play with my younger siblings though. It will always depend on the upbringing of the adults. Yes, my younger siblings might be impacted by their peers who they go with every day in school, but we still do some get together at times. During my rest days from work, we always find time to bring them back to the days wherein pure fun means a gadget-free and getting our hands dirty causes us in trouble, yet it always makes us smile as we recall all those fun times where we get ourselves dirty and soaked in the rain.

Here are some of our favorite childhood kind of entertainments:

Chinese Garter

Jumping Rope

Tubig-Tubig, which is you team up to reach back to your base after getting through the opponents line of defense.

Moro-moro, which is a home with a base kind of street game.

Tug-of-War

Some kids may engage in these once certain games way back are introduced to them. Hopefully some kids get t read my write-up that may give them the idea that these street games may be liven-up. That's all for today.
