The first day of school after the break

Today is the first day for children to back to class. Usually, in the early days of school, students do not learn right away. They cleaned each class. This is a normal habit in our area.

The teachers also seem to be busy taking care of their classes. You need to know, the classes in my school are managed by a teacher or the so-called homeroom teacher. This teacher is responsible for their own class. In addition to homeroom teachers, we also have teachers in the field of study who only teach the subjects he mentors. I am one of the teachers in the field of study, but I have other responsibilities as a teacher who manages students extracurricular activities.

The first day of school after the break is usually filled with clean-up activities together, sharing each other's experiences with friends or teachers, or other activities.

I interviewed some students who were not so busy in a small group of students. I asked them what their expectations were in 2018. On average they answered that they wanted to improve their achievements in various fields. For that it takes a persistent effort and learning.

After a long break and year-end holiday period, the students seemed to be excited. This is the beginning of even semester. They will do their best to improve the results they achieve in the odd semester.

I have a special message to the final students. This is the last semester for them. Around May 2018, they will face the National Exam. This test is one of the conditions for determining their graduation in this school. So the students have to study harder. In addition, I also informed the students of this final level that they will attend special classes to deepen certain subject matter, such as Mathematics, Natural Sciences, English, or Bahasa Indonesia.

So what should the teacher do to these final students? They must continue to motivate the students to be mentally prepared for the exam. I hope my students all pass the exam to be held in May.
