5 Tips to Consider When Designing Your Business’s Website

1. Design for your target audience.

Forget your own tastes and desires and instead design a website that will appeal to your target audience. This means that you should include pleasing colors, user-friendly functionality and a layout that makes for easy and informative reading.

2. Less is more.

Your business might be bursting at the seams with awesome products and services, but it’s very important that you don’t overwhelm your readers with information. Make sure your site is divided into applicable pages and that content is laid out with many heading, sub-headings and bullet points.

3. Include call to actions.

Once your audiences have established that your site is where they want to be, prompt them into engaging with you by using call-to-actions like “contact us for a quote” or “like us on Facebook”.

4. Pictures often speak louder than words.

Incorporate images into your design that will convey a message just as much as the actual written content. Of course, the imagery should be applicable to the message you are trying to convey, but at the same time, it should be encouraging and positive in nature.

5. Quality is key.

Your website is an extension of your business in that it has the ability to serve, inform and take care of your clients and customers while you continue with other business endeavors. Avoid using cheap template-based websites, instead, put effort into your marketing investment.

In Conclusion

A website has the potential to create a passive income for your business if time and dedicated effort is put into it. This means that it should include the latest trends, modern functionality and it should offer a great user experience for those who land on it. Marketing your business has never been easier!

i'm always surprised to find some businesses out there today who still don't have a website set up yet... but what a great opportunity for some website developer to showcase their skills in setting one up for that business, showing them what they can do.
