How do you treat a child that learns faster than others?

The topic of the day for @steemiteducation homework is very important and interesting. No two humans are alike. We are not robots that are made to behave in a similar manner. Even, the children of the same parents are not alike.
(I know that because my second elder brother was a little slow in learning and my mother used to sit patiently and teach him while in school)

How will a teacher cope with children of different capabilities in the same class?

As an Indian, I know what population excess is. It means you are sitting in a class of sixty. The teacher will not even know who you are unless you interact actively with the class. The teachers did find a solution for that problem. The students are made to rotate on a weekly basis. The student who gets to sit in the front row on the first day will move to the second, third and so on till he reaches the back row.

As for the capabilities of the students, which is the topic of discussion, the students are usually given classwork and the teacher checks the answers. The brilliant students do well and finish their work quite faster when compared to others. The others take time. Since it is not possible for the teacher to attend to each and every student, the class is divided into batches and the few brilliant that are present are instructed to help their fellow mates. It is a win-win situation because both the parties learn the subject in the process. The teacher is also consulted if there are any doubts which the students are not able to clear by themselves.

The students who learn quickly are often given opportunities to participate in city, state and national level scholarship exams and prove their talent. The children who do not excel in academics but are talented in other areas such as arts or sports are encouraged to pursue that line.

This is an overview of the general Indian scenario.

Fun part - some of my brilliant classmates used to spin books, compass box and anything they could use, to spin, on their fingers after they finished solving math problems and they have got caught on some occasions
