Education is a right, not a privilege
Japan's 'Hokkaido Railway Co. definitely agrees with the above statement. The company kept a train line running just for 1 student who took the train to and back to her school. The company wanted to shut down its Kami-Shirataki station due to its remote location. However after investigating they found out that a girl named Kana needed the train to access her school. So they made a quick change in plans and have postponed the shutdown by 4 years. The train station was closed on March 26 th 2016, right after Kana's graduation. *
I personally congratulate Hokaido Railway Co. for what they have done and hope it sets up as a great example to many countries and companies which treats education as a privilege.
