Babies, all stories must end, we are also stories and must end. Mum answered. Alright, no time for questions. Should I tell you another bed time story dears?
Yes yes the twins answered .
Okay but before then, you must........ Peee peee peeeee
That is your dad, let us go and meet him.
The twins ran shouting daddy welcome , how was your day?
It was fine my big boys. Did mum call you babies and dears again?
Yes she did. Ik and Jal replied
Are you done talking? You have to bath. Let's go inside .
Jal and Ik , take your dad's bags and shoes upstairs. I want to serve his dinner, their mum said while going to the kitchen.
Stop splashing water at me hun Ik and stop jumping Jal.
Okay mum.
Get your pyjamas and wear.
After they lay on their bed,their mum started telling them a story.
Once upon a time , in a faraway land, there lived an old granny that had a son and two grandchild named Jumoke and Junior . They used to live in the city and go to the village to spend their holidays with their granny who used to tell them stories .
So one day, their granny told them a story and started like this.......
"A long long long time ago, in a very faraway land , there lived a girl named Jibike an only child who was the village gossip,she spread news fast like a lightening. Both false and true rumors round the village. She did not know how to keep a secret. Their grand ma said"
"I just like Jumoke, Junior interrupted."
"And jumoke told him to shut up."
"Jibike's mother used to warn her all the time about her habit of saying what does not concern her. But she doesn't listen to her mum. Then, one time in their village, a thief started stealing cloths, food, animals and money from the villagers houses and shops".
"Jibike being the towns gossip decided to see to the end of the matter. She started asking questions from the people affected and also planned a way to catch the thief. But, her mother warned her sternly not to try it but decided to do what she wanted. She told her mother that she was going to make sure she sees the end of the matter".
"What a disobedient child, Jumoke commented".
"Grandma continued, then, one day, the town crier announced the annual festival the villagers do celebrate. And that all villagers should be at the village square on the 1st market day of the 1st moon of the coming year. The thief saw this as an opportunity to rob the palace since all the villagers would be at the village square".
"I've caught him, Jibike shouted happily. She continued following the thief till he jumped over the fence into the kings palace, he then came back outside with a goat, a big sack that contained some thing. The thief ran away and went towards the chief priest's house and entered".
"Ahh, so the thief is the chief priest. The whole town will hear. So this is why the chief priest said that he can not come to the festival. Ehn ehn, so the chief priest is the thief. Ahh, grandma continued".
"Haaaa, Junior yawned."
"I think Junior is sleepy, grandma said. I will continue the story tomorrow, let's go to bed."
Then grandma concluded the story for that day. The twins mum said. So you two have to go to bed, and do not forget anybody that doesn't sleep at bed time, the beautiful fairy princess won't come and give that person a kiss.
Bye babies, mum said.
Bye mum, goodnight. Ik and Jal answered.
