Train your child
Train a child the way he should go and he will not depart the right way when he is an adult.
Regardless of what you believe, there are certain truths to what the bible teaches about how we should guide our children.
Respect your elder
This is a serious problem in the modern society where our kids may lack of the element of respect for parents or those who are older than them.
It is the influence of social media as well as fast growing of the yearn for freedom of speech.
Most children may learn from their friends thinking it is a cool thing to do as well.
By guiding them that it is polite to respect the elderly from young and always talking to them, they can grow up the way you desire.
Most modern parents are too busy using their mobile phone to play games or surf the interest for the latest shows.
We too are guilty as we are mostly very involved in steemit platform. We desire to have a passion income through steemit.
Reflect and start guiding. Don't wait till it is too late and regret it.
Joy of learning
As a parent, we should focus on the joy of learning rather than academic result.
We should never talk about someone's child having to score higher than our own.
Focus on learning because learning helps to gain knowledge and lifeskill for future.
Learning provides more opportunities for them in future.
Successful grade 'A' for all subjects do not assure a successful future.
The fact that even in jail you can find people who have a PhD(Not permanent head damage of course)
Let them enjoy learning and let them continue to like learning.
This cultivates future attitude for learning because they have the love and joy for it.
Future ready attitude to learn regardless of changes.

I agree on so many points! As parents, our children deserve our attention. And they learn respect through example. Respect must be commanded, not demanded. No one is doing their child a favor by not teaching them respect. Respect can take you far in life.
I also agree that a child's success should never be measured by another child's success. Part of learning respect, is learning to respect themselves. If they can't live up to some other child's success, they may never learn to respect themselves. If they do respect themselves, they'll do their best, and if they are doing their best they deserve praise, not comparisons.
