What Is Creative Loafing and How To Use It?
Creative loafing, simply put, is making productive use of time you spend being lazy or lying around. If you are the type of person that likes to be on the coach a lot watching TV, why not use that time more creatively or productively?
I am the kind of person that always has the TV on in the background (with the volume lowered), as well as relaxing music. These two things help me think clearly, and it’s actually how I write my posts. The music is very calming to me and allows me to focus while I write and do other aspects for my business.
Turn One Idea Into The Use of Many
Let’s say you get a creative idea on how to do something for your business, or just in general another area of life. You could ask yourself “could I use this idea for other areas of my life too?”
One example would be the use of dogs. Everyone knows that dogs have an amazing sense of smell. Dogs can be trained to smell just about anything, and one of their most amazing abilities is to find lost people.
However, instead of people, why not have a dog trained to find lost pets? I am just giving an example of how you can use one idea for a number of different scenarios.
Another good example would be the use of the oven. Not everyone knows how to cook, but there are thousands of different homemade meals that can be pre made with just the use of the oven. What other ideas can you think of for the oven that would give you more of a balanced and nutrition based diet?
Become Full of Ideas and Possibilities
The world is full of ideas and possibilities. You can easily take one idea and turn it into several different ideas. You just have to train your brain to think more creatively, which isn’t as hard as it may seem.
There is no point living life the same all the time. Your mind enjoys being stretched and being creative, and investing in knowledge is one of the best ways to train your brain to start thinking more creatively.
Stop Being Lazy!
So instead of being a lazy coach potato and letting your mind rot in front of the television all day every day, do something different and invest in knowledge. Learn a new skill or a new hobby, and a whole world of possibilities will open up for you.
