Science Experiment : How The Transport Process In Plants

in #steemiteducation7 years ago (edited)

The transport process in plants is the process of transporting a substance from a central point and spreading to the part of the destination.

The process of transporting plants is divided into two kinds, namely the transportation of nutrients for photosynthesis and transport photosynthesis results to circulate the results of photosynthesis.

The process of transporting plant nutrients that channel water and soil nutrients to the leaves for photosynthesis by osmosis and diffusion then goes into the hair of the roots and into the epidermis then to the cortex, then to the endodermis, and then to the perisikel then to the xylem vein the process is called ekstravaskuler. The transport of water from the root xylem to the leaf of the transport process is called a vascular

The process of transporting photosynthesis results is circulated with the phloem vessels throughout the body of plants that concentrate low.

The purpose of this experiment is to observe the transport process in plants.

The tools and materials used in this experiment are as follows:

  1. Mineral Bottles
  2. Knife (Razor blade)
  3. Water Puppies
  4. Impatiens balsamina
  5. Water
  6. Vaseline
  7. Stop watch / watch

Ways of Working

Prepare two plants Impatien balsamina with the same size and number of leaves.

Remove the leaves from one of the plants then rub the scars with vaseline.

Cut one of the roots of the plant and put it into a jar of water mixed with the dye.

After an hour, observe the petiole and stem of both plants.

Which plant does the water move faster?

Plants whose water moves faster is in plants that are still leafy.

Why did it happen?

This can happen because the part of the plant is still complete although the roots are lost so that still absorption of water that will be made food (photosynthesis) and can also come out as water vapor. And in plants that part is not complete there is still the process of water transport but the water is only stuck in the stem and not in use too much.

What is the role of leaves in the experiment?

Leaf role in this experimental process is to treat water in the process of photosystesis

Conclusion of this experiment

In the transportation of plants require the absorption of water from the roots and then stems then to the leaves for the cooking process, the more plants have roots, stems and leaves, the greater the need for water and other substances so that the suction power is higher.

So this experiment in accordance with the theory of water leading to the leaf one of which is caused by the suction power of the leaf, so from this experiment showed that water in plants that have leaves will absorb water more banya than by plants that are not leafy.

So plants that have a part of a complete body parts will do a lot of water transportation also to meet their needs.
