Five Suggestions to Help Change Along

five suggestions to help change along.jpgChange happens wether we want it to or not. Our Mother is literally a living being, and by simply having our bodies upon her moving form we become beings in motion. There is no way to avoid change, but there is a way to guide it.

Here are five suggestions for helping change happen in the way you want it to.

Try it on for taste

Would you like to be in a slimmer, more healthy body? Would you like a stronger, happier, wealthier marriage? Are you looking to be a more prolific writer?

Imagine yourself already there. See it in your minds eye. Imagine what kind of clothes a slimmer you is wearing. Does your hair look the same? What are you eating? What daily habits does this thinner, healthier person have that you don't?

Imagine yourself going through the day as this other you. Are you comfortable in your body? Do you smile more? Do you adorn yourself more? Does it take more work to be you? Does it feel good to be this other person? Sometimes when we try things out for taste we see that we don't really like the type of work we will have to do once we get to where we want to be, adjust your goals accordingly.

Imagine yourself there as often as possible and fix all the grates that you encounter. In the now, make transitioning into where you want to be as easy as possible.

Surround yourself with the change you want to see

Put yourself in an environment that nurtures the change you want to see.

Would you like to go from being a renter to being a home owner? Who around you already owns homes? What steps did they take to get there? How can you mirror their actions? Who helped them? Who can offer you similar help?

If you want to be a more positive person, find nice, positive people to practice being nice around. If you want to jog a marathon, join a group for people who want to do the same. Even if joining them is just online. Even if all you are going to do is imagine doing the same things those people who are living your dreams are doing.

Remember, imagining actions is practice.

Practive, practice, practice

You want to be a more prolific writer? What would you write about? Who would be your readers? How often would you write? Would you take breaks from writing in order to re-generate, or would you always "just" have articles (books/courses) at your fingertip?

What does who you want to be do differently than you? Practice being more like the other person.

How far in advance will you know your writing topics when you are a prolific writer? How much time will you spend on your writing? Will you let ideas marinade in your brain while you go about your day, or will you write everything down as soon as the idea jumps in your mind? Will you have an editor, photographer, and publisher? How will you interact with them? Can you work with similar people now?

As you practice being where you want to be in your imagination, you will find yourself making real world changes in order to get there. You won't know what kind of help you need to get where you're going, until you practice being where you are going to be.

Analyze your daily actions

A healthier you eats more balanced meals. You already imagined what you would be eating. You already hang out around people who are helpful to you. You've practiced in your minds eye what you "should" be doing.

But you just can't seem to make those changes.

Take the time to analyze. What is stopping you? Is there a hidden fear? Do you need more help with planning? Is there a financial, physical, or emotional barrier?

Look at your actions. What other changes can you make to help your actions along? Perhaps cleaning out your refrigerator will help filling it with nutritious foods easier? Perhaps having groceries delivered to you will make it easy to choose healthier foods?

How can you support yourself?

Give yourself permission

Let yourself get out of your comfort zone. Let yourself change. Let yourself play with your imagination. Give yourself permission to succeed.

Were your high schools years "the best time of your life?" Give yourself permission to be living your best years NOW. Don't save them for when you're older don't be stuck at a younger age. Give yourself permission to have THESE YEARS be your favorite years. Remember to switch them to THOSE YEARS when you get there.

Are you holding back on your writing because you are afraid to expose yourself? Give yourself permission. Let go of the "don't take to strangers" mentality. Let go of having to protect yourself, and stop being scared of giving too much. Please still have guidelines based on common sense for yourself, but stop being afraid of doing things wrong.

Give yourself permission to write about things your mom didn't let you write about as a kid. Let yourself go beyond what your 10th grade writing teacher told you was possible. Somewhere along the line someone or something told you this was difficult or hard, give yourself permission to prove them wrong.

Sometimes the things holding us back are buried so deep within us, we can't even see them anymore. There's no need to analyze those things, simply give yourself permission to let go of anything and everything that is holding you back.


Are there different ways that you call change to yourself? Maybe you make yourself floss every time you bite a morsel of anything to stop deter yourself from grazing, or you reward yourself for positive actions some how? I would love to read about it in the comments.

I'm not a literal "Mother Earther" but in a general sense, I do agree with the concept. What we desperately need in the WORST WAY is

OVERUNITY or FREE ENERGY

That's a lot of change! Do you find it easy to go from place to place, or do you ever feel a pull to stick to a certain country.

Change is difficult for me. I like to chew on the possibilities before I fully commit and act. Once I make a decision though, Im all about the change and have a difficult decision going back.

Hey! I am a bit of a nomad, so I feel at home anywhere I go. I know it sounds very typical, but that's how I have been.
I don't know how much of a change there has been. So far I have achieved that he moved out. But I still need to get my keys back and I still need to detach emotionally.

This is really excellent. Thoughts totally become things, and I have to keep my focus there on that which I am trying to create.

For focus I like asking:

What would it take to keep focus?
What would it take to be clear on what I want?
Why would it take to let myself work in one task at a time?
What would it take for having the ability to concentrate to be easy?

I like turning my shoulds into “how can I” questions.

Feels like something's in the air. I see posts about change everywhere. For us here it could be the impending elections just days away.

I love you first suggestion. It is always a check and balance. I have on occasion gotten what I fought for so hard for to find out it wasn't what it seemed from the other side. But then again, if I hadn't tried it already, I wouldn't have known it isn't a match... So it's all good 😊

Here its been a very cold spring - by this time we are usually starting to enjoy the warmth of summer, but we're still kind of stuck on winter. Time for that seasonal change into warmth!
