WHERE DOES THE NUMBER ZERO COME FROM
Today we are finding out where the number zero started from.
There were always just nine numbers, but that did cause a problem counting.
Then they found something is missing.
Do you know why the number zero is so important, it has two functions?
In the beginning they considered that zero means nothing and how could nothing be something.
In east India they started putting the zero in the number system.
It was another Indian mathematician who started using zero as a place holder.
If it was not for him, we would not have had zero.
Googol was what a 9 year old boy started calling zero. As we hear in the video under all those zeros not even Dr. Binocs would have been found by google.
Interesting that this is where google got its name from.
You can now tell your friends that you know where zero comes from, but it is also where google that we use every day comes from.
