SOLVING WORD PROBLEMS IN THE BUCK METHOD.

Solving word problems can be difficult for all children. For some reason, they always think it is too difficult and feel scared.

By using this system you can divide the problem up into what is relevant to the question.

It is an easy way to take out the words in the question that has nothing to do with the answer.
Once you have done that the problem will be smaller and so much easier.

Do not just think it is difficult to read the question and use the buck system in this video to solve your problem.

Now, do you see how many unnecessary words appear in the question just to let you think it is difficult?

Once you have mastered this method you will never struggle with world problems again.

Word problems are given to see how well you read them.

Then when you really take the important things to use and take the others out, you will see that there is a lot of information that is not relevant to the question.

I have found that if you do not read well you will struggle, and that is the reason we do comprehension tests to see if we can read with understanding.

So always read with understanding and if you cannot, really make a point of reading more and doing a lot of comprehension tests.

Once you have mastered that you will always read your maths word problems with understanding.

So what I am saying is you must start reading a lot and even go to the library to get books to read so that you can really master your reading skills.

I personally feel children struggle with their word problems only because they do not concentrate on being good readers.

Reading is so important to all subjects as you cannot learn your different subjects if you do not read with understanding.

To me; these two go hand in hand and that is why children get scared when they see a word problem.
