Why is it so important to make sure that naughty children are not just unhappy children?
Sometimes we are inclined to think they are naughty, but perhaps they are just not capable of telling us their problems.
It is sometimes very necessary to go and sit with a child, and try and sort out why they are not doing what is asked of them.
Why do they always get into trouble?
Why are they always in a fight?
What make them do things they know they are not supposed to, as they know they will get into trouble?
I am not saying all naughty children have problems; some are just struggling to be good. Some children are not likely to ever change as there is only one thing they enjoy and that is to make people angry.
It does sound weird but there are really children who enjoy making people angry, and then they enjoy seeing them angry.
Do not ask me to explain this, as I do not understand it but they are just like that.
Then we have the ones who are actually looking for help. They just do not know how to ask.
I had many children in the office for being naughty and nearly 75% of them had problems at home. Or with a child giving them some trouble.
So what I am actually saying is, working through all the naughty children you will find that there are so many that you can help by just getting through to them.
It might take a little time, but you can usually see where you stand a chance of helping, and if they are just happy being naughty.
Those are truly in our schools, why they like being naughty are still even at my age a mystery to me.
I must say when you get through to a child and find out that they are unhappy for a reason, and you can help them there is no better feeling.
Sometimes it is only a small thing, but to them it is an enormous problem.
Then you get through to children with real big problems and you start helping them.
It is wonderful to see how these children change and how they become happy and respectful.
We must really not be in too much of a rush to write a child off as a naughty child.
We were all once children, and did things we were not supposed to just for fun. The difference is it was handled in other ways than today.
So please teachers try and find out if you have a naughty child in your class, or a child who is naughty with a problem.
As I said before it is wonderful to take children’s problems away if at all possible.
So remember there is definitely a difference.
There are children not many, who you will never be able to help, but most of them can be helped and become wonderful good happy people.
The saddest thing in the world is that some of those children who like to make others angry land up in jail.
I had a few, and if you go and see them you find they so wished that they had listened to you.

Children as i have always known are little shining stars of the future. Alot of parents have misunderstood their kid's actions and inaction thereby condemning them as juvenile delinquents.
If only elders can understand this concept and be able to relate well with this kids. However i am delighted that an elder like you is championing the good cause.

We should always listen to the children.because sometime thet would be shy or sometime afeaid to tell their concerns so our attitude shoould be friendly towards them so that they always feel open to express their feelings.
