HOW DOES YOUR TONGUE WORK?
Today we are enjoying everything we eat because we are learning about the tongue.
Did you know we need our tongue to be able to speak, as well as taste our food?
Just think how boring life would have been, if all things tasted the same.
There are different kinds of tongues in the world.
The blue whale has the biggest tongue on earth did you know that?
Then we have lizards and other animals who can grab their food with their tongues.
It really does look funny.
If we did not have a tongue we would not have been able to speak, imagine we had to try and explain everything with our hands.
That would have been a very quiet world. The tongue has little papillae for us on it and with our saliva we can taste the difference between something sweet, sour, bitter and salty.
Our bodies were made so perfectly that we can do all these things because we have certain muscles like the tongue.
When you watch this video you will not believe how interesting it is.
