How do you learn your mother tongue? Nobody buys you a fancy teacher. You listen and practice and use it every time every day. You are completely submerged - your language is around you every day - television, radio, letters and magazines on the table, and of course parents and everyone around you talk constantly. It makes perfect sense.

The key is that you must involve yourself in the language you are studying. Listen, say, live! If you surround yourself and commit only to English, you will learn it faster and easier. @arbitrarykitten has provided a solution for those of us who still lay in English.
