Solving System of Two Linear Equation Graphically
In this lesson plan we will discuss how to solve system of two linear equations graphically. We can use algebra though but students in grade 9 and 10 need to know how graph the lines on the grid. This lesson is all about graphing the lines on the grid and finding their point of intersection as a solution.
Students can use slope and y-intercept form of the equations to draw the graph. I prefer to find any two points on the line to draw the graph. I prefer to find x and y intercepts of the line but sometimes don't get integers as values, at such situations we can choose any value of "x" which will give an integer for value of "y" in the table.
Okay, spoiler alert, lol. I couldn't help trying the problem. Hopefully I got it right. (Please let me know if you would rather the solution to exercise be removed.)
