Basic Terms Used in Multiplication and Division
As we have finished our worksheets on basic multiplication and division concepts for 3rd grade math, now is the good time to talk about basic terms used in multiplication and division.
In multiplication we use three main terms; MULTIPLICAND, MULTIPLIER and PRODUCT. Also Multiplicand and Multiplier are known as FACTORS of the the Product and Product itself is also known as MULTIPLE.
In case of division again there are three main terms; DIVIDEND, DIVISOR and QUOTIENT.
